This project involved creating marketing materials and event materials for a book reading event at Cafe Stella. The project was self-run and included the following deliverables: an 11×17” poster, three postcards.
This project required a lot of research as I needed to have an idea of what the featured books were about in order to create appropriate symbols. These symbols were used on the marketing materials, particularly for the post cards. In addition, I did lots of visual research on Art Deco to go with the time period that these books took place or were written in. I used this visual research as inspiration for my poster illustration.

The final product was a series of visual materials with a design that compliments the theme of the event. Through color choice, typography, and illustration style, I was able to create a design system that tied each of these materials together.
